Advanced Irish Dance Course - September

€75.00

Wednesday the 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th of September in Studio 2.

Time: 7:30-8:30pm.

Location: Liffey Trust Studios, Dublin 1 D01 HW96

Every month we learn something new, a new dance or sequence of steps to perfect over the four weeks. We do not offer drop-in classes for this reason as you will gain so much more from the 4 weeks of classes if we build on the dance or routine we have learned leaving you with a beautiful, confidence in your dancing!

This class is a 4 week journey for those who have danced for a number of years and have fallen out of it for whatever reason or for those who have a good basic understanding traditional set dances, heavy shoe dancing and more. I focus on performance style dancing and evoking your own personal style in the Advanced Irish Dance Classes.

The jump from intermediate to advanced is not huge, but significant so I would advise gaining your fundamentals from the intermediate if you are unsure about what level you are. In this class we learn heavy jigs, hornpipes, show dances as well as reels and slip jigs. We also drill specific movements and dance for complete enjoyment while connecting with our community. So many friendships have been formed from our classes and I would love you to join the IDP Community.

What do I need?

Comfortable black clothing, water, heavy shoes, light shoes, trainers. Irish dancing shoes are optional but recommended.

I cannot wait to meet you all and for you to join the IDP community
